I Went Viral 12 Times to Prove It’s Not Luck

I Hacked the Algorithm & Went 12 Times Viral (To Prove It’s Not Luck)

Yo!

I hate flexing, but I can confidently say that I can make viral videos whenever I want. (Lalalala)

In today’s newsletter, I'm excited to share the story of how I hacked the algorithm and achieved my first million views! (So you can do it too after reading this newsletter.)

It all started with my Instagram series "Lemino Somewhere in the Universe," where I share random stories in random locations.

The challenge was to make people interested in my weird/random stories that seemingly have no value and that no one would typically care about.

So, I decided to apply the secret formula that I had crafted over the past months.

Spoiler Alert: Each video in the series became a success, with one even reaching 1 million views!

Behind this accomplishment, I dedicated countless hours to watching videos, reading, analyzing, and experimenting with my clients' projects (I hope that they are not reading this, especially the ones who told them that I am an expert in social media marketing…)

Fake it till you make it - am I right?

So in this newsletter, I'll be sharing everything with you.

Not because I want to reveal my secret formula, but because I believe it's important to update our strategies as things evolve very fast. Therefore, the updated version of my formula will be offered for a fee nihahahahaha…

So, let's explore the key ingredients of my algorithm-hacking formula:

First, we need to keep in mind that it's all about attention and engagement, the social media currency.

The first step is crafting a strong hook: Think of it as a Mr beast’s YouTube thumbnail that immediately pushes you to click.

In fact, I often spend more time perfecting the hook than developing the body of the video.

But let me tell you, the body is where the real magic happens.

By mastering the art of explaining complex topics to a 5-year-old, I discovered the key to engaging anyone, selling anything, and seducing anyone you want... It's all about storytelling.

Now, let's talk about our next ingredient, the loop. (Not the trick where the end of the video repeats the beginning.)

It's a technique to maintain the flow of dopamine and keep viewers hooked.

We add a line in the middle of the story, reminding viewers to watch till the end or they'll miss something big! (Not as big as the thing you will receive in your DM if you won’t share the newsletter with at least one of your friends…)

As we reach the ending of the video … there is no ending!

People have no time to listen to your conclusions and closing words.

Just drop the mic and please, no call to action, people don't want someone to tell them what to do.

In terms of editing, in 2023 you don't need to be a senior editor to engage people.

Just introduce them to fresh elements every 4-5 seconds. Be it new footage, images, captions or even unrelated videos—something that moves, like a car video added at the top.

Now, here's another little secret: Everyone wonders why I keep shifting from one place to another in every new video in this serie…

Our brains adore novelty, and this strategy triggers the release of even more dopamine.

I've even gone as far as traveling to Egypt specifically to shoot a video and add that extra element of surprise.

Lastly, the Tunisian harissa spice—it's like a bomb! I try to trigger people by adding a bit of controversy without sharing my own opinion. (Don’t judge pls)

This generates explosive engagement and tons of comments because of lovers and haters.

So kids, here's my secret formula for going viral.

But remember, the algorithm may change, and trends may come and go, but if you stay true and provide value, success will follow.

Your boy Lemino.
